It's #ItalianHorrorWeek on Instagram!

As you can probably imagine, I was very geeked when I found out that @fulciman12 started a fun little thing on Instagram for us Italian horror nerds which he aptly titled #ItalianHorrorWeek. Of course, I just HAD to join in on the fun. Here are my first three posts. By the way, do you follow me yet? If not, I'm @djalfonso on both Instagram and Twitter.

RENDEZVOUS! With I, CED & Marten Riese...THIS FRIDAY!

Join us THIS Friday, November 8th as we welcome L.A.-based producer I, CED and direct (literally) from Hamburg, B-Music's Marten Riese! I, CED works with many of L.A. musical luminaries such as Dâm-Funk as well as our own AM (check out his AM & Shawn Lee remix!). He brings with him a deep knowledge (& crate) of funk, library, and funky soundtracks. Expect to be blown away! We are also thrilled to welcome B-Music Hamburg DJ Marten Riese! As I'm sure you all know, the B-Music collective is a globe spanning team of "psychedelic librarians and cosmic-pop-quiz-elitists" and we are always terribly humbled when anyone from the B-Music family play with us. Expect to hear sonic gems from around the world. As always, we will also be screening two giallo and cult erotica films immediately after our 8PM screening of neo-giallo classic AMER on the huge projection screen!

RENDEZVOUS! with Dr. Who & Death Waltz Recordings (May 10)

Join us for our third session at the Hyperion Tavern in Silverlake on Friday, May 10th as we welcome Dr. Who DJ's Dina Juntila and Carey Yost! Dr. Who is, in our opinion, an LA staple specializing in obscure and psychedelic 60s & 70s soundtracks, fuzz, funk, and other sonic weirdness...just the kind of stuff we love! True vinyl hounds, we cannot wait to hear what gems they will no doubt bring along. We will also be screening Sergio Martino's 'All the Colors of the Dark' and Dario Argento's 'The Bird with the Crystal Plumage' on the huge projection screen!

**PLEASE NOTE**
As many of you fellow music fans (and DJ's) may have noticed, SoundCloud has been becoming increasingly difficult for DJ's to work with. They have really stepped up their copyright policing and as a result, made it quite tricky for DJ's to work with. While I can totally understand their position from a business perspective, I have nevertheless decided to start uploading both my archived AND future DJ mix files onto Mixcloud. I think SoundCloud is great for music artists and labels to share and promote their original work, but Mixcloud is geared more for the purpose of DJ mixes (I guess that's why it's called MIXcloud). And just for clarification, I will NOT be closing my SoundCloud account, rather just re-uploading some files that I had to remove from there for some reason or another (mainly because I have run out of storage space :)).

Thanks for reading. And now on to the music!
